Chelsea no longer interested in Jules Kounde, Will move for Mathij de Ligt

Chelsea are no longer interested in signing Sevilla centre back Jules Kounde who was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge last summer.

According to report, the champions league winners  will no longer go back for the French defender but rather turn their attention to Juventus centre back Mathij de Ligt whose Thomas Tuchel considered a complete player.

The Premier League giant were reluctant to meet his release Clause which was set by Sevilla at £70 million.

Daily start reported that Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel is an admirer to the Dutch centre back and will consider signing him.

The 22 years old was part of the Ajax team that reached the champions league semi final in 2019, joined the Bianconeri that same summer has went on to make 80 appearances.

Though he has won the Serie A, Coppa Italia and SuperCoppa Italiana with the Old Lady, he has seen his place in the first team limited this season with Leandro Bonucci and Chelleini preffered over him by Maximiliano Alegri
